Dai Haoyu, Senior Vice President Marketing Planning at Singapore Airlines, highlighted that the new service will enhance travel options and connectivity for passengers. The airport’s 24-hour operating capability, particularly its late-night departure slots, is expected to facilitate smoother connections via Singapore Changi Airport to more than 130 destinations worldwide.
Simon Hickey, Chief Executive Officer of Western Sydney International Airport, emphasized the significance of the partnership, noting that Singapore Airlines’ entry into the new airport will provide greater travel flexibility and bring enhanced global connectivity to the Greater Sydney region. The collaboration is seen as a key step in positioning Western Sydney as a major international aviation gateway.
Western Sydney, home to over three million residents and representing Australia’s third-largest economy, is expected to benefit from improved accessibility and increased tourism. The region serves as a gateway to attractions such as the Blue Mountains and offers a diverse mix of cultural, culinary, and recreational experiences.
Tickets for the new Western Sydney services will be gradually made available from 25 March 2026 through Singapore Airlines’ distribution channels. The airline will continue to operate its existing services to Sydney Kingsford Smith Airport using a combination of Boeing 777-300ER, Airbus A380, and Airbus A350-900 aircraft, maintaining strong connectivity between Singapore and Australia’s largest city.
