(NEWS) MIAMI, 2025-Aug-12 — /Travel PR News/ — Silversea Cruises has appointed Gianluca Sparacino as its new Global Head of Food and Beverage, effective 18 August 2025, as part of its continued investment in culinary innovation and guest experience. With more than 35 years in the hospitality industry, Sparacino brings extensive international expertise from prestigious destinations such as Singapore, Hong Kong, Dubai, Geneva, and Miami, and most recently served as Vice President of Food and Beverage for the Americas at Four Seasons Resorts. He also previously held the same position for the EMEA region.

In his new role, Sparacino will report to Michael McCarthy, Vice President of Operations at Silversea, and will oversee the evolution of the brand’s award-winning gastronomic program, working closely with shipboard and shoreside teams to elevate service standards and expand destination-inspired dining experiences. Known for collaborating with Michelin-starred restaurants and leading high-performance culinary teams, Sparacino is expected to play a pivotal role in enhancing Silversea’s Sea and Land Taste (S.A.L.T.) program, which offers immersive, locally inspired menus curated by top chefs.

Bert Hernandez, Silversea’s president, praised Sparacino’s track record in delivering “epicurean excellence” and his passion for hospitality, noting that his leadership will “elevate our culinary program to new heights.” Sparacino expressed his excitement at joining a brand synonymous with luxury and authenticity, aiming to create memorable dining and beverage experiences that connect guests more deeply with their destinations.

His appointment comes amid a strengthened food and beverage leadership team at Silversea, which earlier this year welcomed Anthony Maubossin as Director of Culinary Operations & Innovation, recently inducted into the Académie Culinaire de France, and Jordan Bernstein as Director of Food and Beverage Operations, a veteran in elevating onboard hospitality standards. Together, this expanded leadership signals a new chapter in Silversea’s culinary evolution.
