Dimitra Giannakakou – Razelou was born in Athens, where she lives and works as a painter and sculptor. Her latest exhibition, Think – Walk, suggests the idea of thought and movement within the structure of each sculpture.
Dimitra Giannakakou-Razelou creates sculptures from solid colour, converting the material into a work of art. Her work is a comment on the experience of everyday life and is characterized by an evident sense of humour. Her sculptures will be exhibited in the Lobby at Hilton Athens all day and entrance is free of charge.
An architectural marvel, Hilton Athens underwent a full renovation in 2003, heralding a new chapter in the hotel’s development. The vast lobby, filled with natural light, has been used to host many art exhibitions, and throughout the hotel itself, many pieces of local art are displayed, reflecting and celebrating the local culture.
