Santa Fe’s premier boutique hotel Rosewood Inn of the Anasazi® unveils completely redesigned Anasazi Restaurant and Bar and introduces brand new menus

Santa Fe’s Premier Culinary Destination Taps Hotel’s Original Designer for an Artful Reboot as its Esteemed Executive Chef Revamps Menus

SANTE FE, NM, 2015-6-12 — /Travel PR News/ — Rosewood Inn of the Anasazi®, Santa Fe’s premier boutique hotel, unveils a complete redesign of its renowned Anasazi Restaurant and Bar and introduces brand new menus for both dining destinations. The stunning transformation includes an exquisite redesign for the restaurant, the addition of a lounge areaand a new dedicated tequila table, solidifying the hotel’s role as the leader of the Santa Fe culinary scene. The new design was created by Jim Rimelspach of Wilson Associates, who was also responsible for the Inn’s original interiors when it opened over 20 years ago, as well as its full guestroom renovation in 2014.

Traditional Southwestern cuisine serves as the foundation for the Anasazi Restaurant’s new menus, which include strong, regional Latin influences that enrich the time-honoured fare and celebrate Santa Fe’s vibrant Latin communities. To create the new menus, the hotel’s Executive Chef Juan Bochenski found inspiration in Santa Fe’s rich culinary history, as well as in the fresh ingredients that he finds locally. The new dinner menu includes a special “Grilled for Two” section, featuring grilled meats to share, and an expansive selection of side dishes. Highlights include the Tira de Asadi (beef short ribs), Pollito al limon (whole free-range chicken with lemon confit), Chili Fries and Jalapeño-Cheddar Croquettes.

Also as part of the redesign, the Anasazi Restaurant is introducing a new Para Picar menu, which is served to diners in the bar and lounge area and also on the Inn’s seasonal patio. This new Para Picar menu includes a selection of fresh ceviches, as well as small plates designed for sharing, such as Chef Juan’s signature empanadas and Revuelto Gramajo (scrambled omelette with smoked ham) and shoestring fries. The patio also gets an upgrade with the addition of a traditional Argentinean grill, which Chef Juan will light up each Sunday for brunch.

In addition to offering new food menus, the Anasazi Restaurant has enhanced its bar experience by adding a lounge area with more seating and a dedicated tequila table. At the tequila table, guests can taste the restaurant’s vast and impressive collection of premium tequilas, enjoy unique tequila and food pairings and participate in cooking classes with Chef Juan. Creating this tequila table and increasing seating around the bar furthers the Anasazi Restaurant’s reputation as the preferred watering hole for both locals and guests, as well as the city’s top destination for classic cocktails.

Such new and innovative menus deserve a beautiful space in which to be enjoyed, and, Jim Rimelspach has refreshed the space with a chic, sophisticated design aesthetic, featuring leather and linen chairs and barstools in shades of brown, white and charcoal, complementing the natural wood and stone tables situated throughout the restaurant. A freestanding wall was installed to separate the dining room from the lounge area and create a smaller, more intimate space for the dining room. The wall was fashioned from four large wooden panels with raw, irregular edges, and also serves as a stunning sculptural element and calming backdrop for diners.

“We are overjoyed to welcome back our guests and neighbors into the redesigned Anasazi Restaurant,” says Managing Director Stephanie White. “The Anasazi Restaurant has enjoyed a stellar reputation as Santa Fe’s premier culinary destination for over 20 years, and by introducing a new design and new menus, Mr. Rimelspach and Chef Juan have ensured that the restaurant will remain that way for years to come.”

This exciting project comes on the heels of the Inn’s full guestroom reimagination, which unveiled a refined, modern look throughout the hotel’s 58 guestrooms.
