The 125-hectare integrated luxury resort will offer a wide range of amenities, including wellness facilities, sports venues, multiple dining options, and beachfront access. Located on the south coast of Lombok, Samara Lombok will provide guests with an immersive and authentic experience, contributing to the region’s growing hospitality sector. The development is set to open in 2027.
(PRESS RELEASE) CHICAGO, 2025-May-29 — /Travel PR News/ — Hyatt Hotels Corporation (NYSE: H) is proud to announce that an affiliate has entered into a franchise agreement with PT Lombok Torok Developments to debut the Destination by Hyatt brand in Southeast Asia with Samara Lombok. The integrated development, located on the pristine south coast of Lombok, will be a key addition to Hyatt’s growing portfolio in Indonesia, which includes 15 properties across 7 brands such as Alila, Andaz, Park Hyatt, Grand Hyatt, Hyatt Place, Hyatt Regency, and The Unbound Collection by Hyatt.

Lombok is renowned for its natural beauty, with pristine beaches, Mount Rinjani (Indonesia’s second-highest volcano), and numerous trekking opportunities. Samara Lombok will be conveniently located just 25 minutes from Lombok International Airport.

The Samara Lombok development spans over 300 acres (125 hectares) and will include two main areas: Samara Bay and Samara Hills. The development will feature a comprehensive wellness village, multiple swimming pools, more than 10 restaurants and bars offering diverse culinary experiences, purpose-built sports facilities (including four tennis courts and four padel courts), a marine and water sports center, an educational marine biology center, an organic farm, a sustainability hub, a kids’ zone, and beach clubs and day clubs for relaxation and social connection. The hotel will offer 249 guest rooms and villas, providing a wide range of accommodations throughout the site.
The development’s design, led by award-winning architects from Bali, draws inspiration from the lush surroundings of Lombok’s iconic paddy fields. Construction is currently underway, with Samara Lombok set to open in 2027.
