London, 2016-Oct-24 — /Travel PR News/ — Oakwood Worldwide®, the global leader in corporate housing and serviced apartment solutions, is pleased to announce that Richard Whittaker has been appointed as the Deputy Chair of the Association of Serviced Apartment Providers (ASAP), the trade association for the UK serviced apartment sector.
“I am honoured to accept the role of Deputy Chair of the ASAP because the next few years will be crucial for the serviced apartment industry as the sector continues to mature in the EMEA region,” said Richard Whittaker, director of EMEA supplier management, Oakwood Worldwide. “The ASAP will have a key role to play as we look to continue to expand our membership, build awareness of the industry and work closer with similar trade associations worldwide.”
Among the key area of focus for Whittaker is the ASAP’s Quality Accreditation Programme which is becoming regarded as the leading global quality assessment, reporting, recognition and accreditation system for the serviced apartment, corporate housing and executive suites sectors.

Whittaker has more than 17 years’ experience in the serviced apartment sector and has led the EMEA supply chain management team at Oakwood Worldwide® since 2011.
