Newquay Airport get the thumbs up for accessibility form Disability Cornwall

2012-10-16 — /travelprnews.com/ — Disability Cornwall were invited to Newquay Cornwall Airport in late Aug to participate in a ‘consumer audit’. The airport has a legal responsibility under European Regulations to provide assistance to passengers with reduced mobility, but people’s experiences tend to differ depending on what airport they use.

So here at NQY Airport we wanted to proactively invite members of Disability Cornwall to used the airport as if they going on a flight and for them to feed back any issues they may come across in and around the airport terminal.

During the visit members of the group saw first-hand how the staff meet the challenges brought by a wheelchair user, a guide dog, a passenger on crutches and someone with limited hearing.

Overall the visit was a huge success and from an Airport Team perspective it was fantastic to work with Disability Cornwall to ensure we continue to deliver the highest level of service to our passengers with reduced mobility.
