Hebron, KY, 2017-Apr-26 — /Travel PR News/ — Frontier Airlines added new nonstop service from CVG to New York City – LaGuardia and Minneapolis/St. Paul today with two inaugural flight celebrations including ribbon-cutting ceremonies, a #CVGselfie station and gifts for passengers.
Service to LaGuardia now operates daily using 180-seat A320 aircraft. Service to Minneapolis/St. Paul operates four times a week (Monday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday) using 150-seat A319 aircraft.
“We’re thrilled to provide new low fare service on these routes where people from the Cincinnati area want to fly,” said Josh Flyr, vice president – network and revenue. “The entire Cincinnati area has supported us since we first launched service, and it’s that support that has allowed us to introduce these new routes today.”
“The growth of Frontier at CVG over the last three and a half years has been incredible,” said Candace McGraw, chief executive officer, CVG. “Frontier now offers 17 nonstop year-round and/or seasonal destinations with 93 flights a week. Frontier also becomes CVG’s 4th largest carrier in terms of daily flights and 2nd largest carrier in terms of seats offered. This success would not have been possible without the support of the Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky community.”
Frontier began service from CVG in May of 2013 with one daily flight to Denver. Last year, Frontier celebrated its one-millionth customer at CVG by awarding that passenger with free travel on Frontier for one year. In addition to Denver, New York and Minneapolis, Frontier also provides nonstop service to Atlanta, Dallas, Cancun, Ft. Lauderdale, Fort Myers, Houston, Las Vegas, Los Angeles, Orlando, Philadelphia, Phoenix, San Francisco and Tampa/St. Petersburg. Nonstop service to San Diego begins May 21.
