Palm Springs, Calif., – 2012-10-15 — /travelprnews.com/ — Just in time for the holiday season, the Palm Springs International Airport (PSP) announces new non-stop flights making it more convenient than ever to experience the desert playground. Beginning November 15, 2012, Allegiant Airlines will have seasonal direct flights from Oakland, CA and Eugene, OR on Thursdays and Sundays. Virgin America has also joined the new non-stop parade with flights from San Francisco International Airport (SFO) starting October 18, 2012 and New York’s John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK) beginning December 22, 2012.
“The new flights offer New York, Eugene and Bay Area residents an opportunity to discover a new destination to escape the cold winters,” said Mary Jo Ginther, Director of Palm Springs Bureau of Tourism. “The flight schedules are ideal for a quick weekend getaway to enjoy perfect weather, pools and endless outdoor activities.”
