New dual hotel development adds over 420 rooms to IHG’s growing Bengaluru presence with Hotel Chetan International
(NEWS) BENGALURU, India, 2025-Sep-3 — /Travel PR News/ — IHG Hotels & Resorts has announced a dual signing in Bengaluru, India, adding more than 420 rooms to its portfolio with the planned launch of Crowne Plaza Bengaluru KIADB Aerospace Park and Holiday Inn Express Bengaluru KIADB Aerospace Park. The two properties, set to open in early 2028, are being developed in partnership with Hotel Chetan International and are designed to serve both premium and essentials market segments.
The new hotels will be strategically located in Bengaluru’s KIADB Aerospace Park, one of the city’s largest industrial and technology hubs, and close to Kempegowda International Airport. The area’s growing demand is driven by leading aerospace and tech firms, Global Capability Centres, and corporate offices, as well as the upcoming BCCI Centre of Excellence and National Cricket Academy situated nearby. With strong residential and commercial development in the vicinity, the properties are expected to attract business travelers, leisure guests, and social events.
Crowne Plaza Bengaluru will offer 210 rooms, four dining outlets, extensive meeting and event facilities, retail spaces, and ample parking. Holiday Inn Express Bengaluru will also feature 210 rooms, a fitness centre, and parking, catering to travelers seeking efficient, comfortable stays with essential amenities. Both hotels will integrate IHG’s loyalty program, IHG One Rewards, giving guests access to tier-based benefits and digital convenience through the IHG app.
This latest signing reinforces IHG’s expansion strategy in India, where it currently operates 51 hotels across six brands with 72 more in the pipeline. The company highlighted Bengaluru’s status as a fast-growing hub for technology, aerospace, and research as a key factor in its decision to strengthen its footprint in the city through this dual development.
IHG Hotels & Resorts has also partnered with KGA International Trades Private Limited to launch Holiday Inn Express Kottayam Changanassery in Kerala by early 2027. Set within the upcoming KGA Mall, the 90-room property will feature dining options, a banquet hall, a multiplex, and a family entertainment centre, making it the city’s first internationally branded hotel. This marks IHG’s second collaboration with KGA Group, which has further announced plans to develop six additional hotels in the coming years, reinforcing IHG’s strategy of expanding into India’s high-potential secondary cities.
