Motel 6 launched $6 room rates program for active and retired U.S. military personnel in honor of Veterans Day

All U.S. Servicemen and Women to Receive 10% Rate Discounts, Everyday

Dallas, TX, United States, 2013-11-1 — /travelprnews.com/ — Today  (October 31, 2013), Motel 6 introduced a new program that allows active and retired U.S. military personnel in select markets to reserve a $6 one-night room rate valid Monday, Nov. 11, in honor of Veterans Day.

The exclusive $6 room rate is available to the first 10 rooms reserved at participating Motel 6 locations in six markets: Colorado Springs, Colo.; El Paso, Texas; Fayetteville, N.C.; Norfolk, Va.; San Antonio, Texas; and San Diego, Calif.

“It’s our mission to provide clean, affordable rooms wherever travelers want to go, and we’re proud to make it even easier for our U.S. military servicemen and women to vacation for less with friends and family on Veterans Day,” said Jim Amorosia, President and CEO of Motel 6.

“We salute our U.S. military servicemen and women, and we’re glad to always offer military families a 10 percent discount on the already low rates at each of our 1,100 locations.”

Active and retired U.S. military personnel can call 1-800-4-MOTEL6 and reference “VETERANS” to take advantage of the offer while it lasts. An active or dependent Military ID must be presented at check-in to receive this special rate.

This program follows an increased commitment on behalf of Motel 6 to support U.S. Veterans. In September, Motel 6 announced it will support Blackstone Group LP’s efforts to hire 50,000 American veterans across its portfolio of 78 companies over the next five years – a commitment inspired by the White House’s “Joining Forces” initiative.
