Maria is a hotel veteran who made the switch to Four Seasons twenty years ago, having first started in the “land down under” in Sydney, Australia. Four Seasons Resort Sharm El Sheikh is Maria’s 9th Four Seasonsassignment.
Maria gained her theoretical knowledge about the industry in her home country of Germany and took her studies literally on the road, gaining much experience in numerous hotels throughout Europe. Being part of the amazing experience of the Sydney Olympics in 2000 Maria brings a wealth of operational expertise and regional exposure to her new role.
Her next stop on her Four Seasons journey was across the Pacific Ocean to San Francisco, where she was the Director of Rooms in the pre and post opening period. From West to East, landing at The Pierre (then aFour Seasons hotel) and then Four Seasons Hotel New York, Maria later took on the windy city as the Hotel Manager at Four Seasons Hotel Chicago.
Maria’s worldly experience, extensive exposure and never-say-no attitude led her to Maui as Resort Manager for four years. And in mid 2012, Maria’s shared Olympic expertise made her an ideal addition to the team in London where she has successfully been leading Hotel Operations for the past year.
Moving from busy Park Lane in the heart of London to the hillside Red Sea diving resort bathed in brilliant blue skies and sunshine, there is no doubt that Maria will do a fantastic job carrying the torch for Four Seasons, by bringing her talent, extensive experience and caring personality to Sharm El Sheikh.
