Manchester Airport welcomes Jet Airways’ five flights a week to Mumbai

MANCHESTER, UK, 2018-Oct-08 — /Travel PR News/ — The North is set to get direct access to Mumbai next month when Jet Airways begin five flights a week to the Indian city.

As well as being a global business destination and financial centre, Mumbai also offers visitors a wealth of leisure options, and easy access to the rest of the country with Jet Airways’ excellent onward connectivity.

Mumbai is full of buzzing Indian cosmopolitan life and the centre of Bollywood.

Whilst in the city why not….

Visit the Gateway of India: The Gateway of India is one of Mumbai’s most iconic monuments and landmarks. The construction of the Gateway of India was commenced in 1911 and was completed 13 years later in 1924 in order to commemorate the first visit of King George V and Queen Mary to India in 1911.

See the Mahalakshmi Temple: The Mahalakshmi Temple is one of the most revered temples in Mumbai. The temple is dedicated to the three manifestations of Shakti, Mahalakshmi, Mahasaraswati and Mahakali.

Go to Aksa Beach: Overlooking the Arabian Sea and with an Indian Naval base on one end, Aksa Beach is relatively secluded beach in the northern suburb of Malad. It does get plenty of visitors, but Aksa is not frequented as much as Girgaum Chowpatty even Juhu Beach. Because of this, Aksa makes for a decent little day trip by the beach, or even a quick weekend getaway thanks to the cottages and hotels that line the beach.

Go shopping: Being the business capital of India, markets are abound in Mumbai. Be it Fashion Street, Chor Bazaar or Zaveri Bazar Mumbai offers quite wide ranges to the shoppers. Crawford Market is famous for flowers, fruits, meat and fish. A visit to Colaba and Flora Fountain (Hutatama Chowk) is recommended if you are good at bargaining.

If getting out of the city, take advantage of the 45 onward Indian destinations Jet Airways offers.

Must do’s include the Golden Triangle with a visit to the beautiful Taj Mahal or the famous forts of Rajasthan.

Kerala is also a must do for its tea plantation, spices and river cruises.

For amazing beaches and resorts then Goa is the ideal destination.

How to get there.
