Macao Grand Prix Museum reopens on 18 August

Macao, China, 2021-Aug-19 — /Travel PR News/ — The Macao Grand Prix Museum and the Ritz Building including the Tourist Information counter and the exhibition hall, under the Macao Government Tourism Office (MGTO), will be reopened to the public starting from 18 August.  In addition, “Stay, Dine and See Macao” local tour itineraries remain suspended until further notice.

MGTO announced earlier the cancellation of the local tours under the “Stay, Dine and See Macao” from 4 to 17 August, and the tours remain suspended until further notice.  Parties concerned are advised to pay attention to the latest situations.  For enquiries about the latest arrangements of the “Stay, Dine and See Macao” project, please dial 8396 3052/2838 9153 between 9 a.m. and 7 p.m. daily.

Number of visitors received by the Macao Grand Prix Museum will be reduced by half until end of August

The Macao Grand Prix Museum and the Ritz Building, under the Macao Government Tourism Office (MGTO), will be reopened to the public on 18 August with limited visitation. The daily volume of visitors received by the Macao Grand Prix Museum will be reduced by half (reduce from 1,100 to 550 persons per day); at the same time, free guided service will be suspended while group visit application will be cancelled. The Tourist Information counter and exhibition hall on the ground floor as well as the breastfeeding room on the first floor of the Ritz Building will be reopened, with no more than 25 persons to be accommodated at a time, and all venue booking applications in August are suspended.

The visitation restrictions of the abovementioned venues will remain in effect until 31 August. MGTO will reinforce cleaning of the facilities, both indoor and outdoor, maintaining strict adherence to the prevention measures against the pandemic.

MGTO calls the attention of the facilities under its supervision to strictly comply with pandemic prevention guidelines upon reopening

In addition, according to Executive Order No.118/2021, the special measure imposed by Executive Order No.111/2021 will be lifted after the stroke of midnight on 18 August 2021. Among others, facilities under the supervision of MGTO, including saunas, massage parlors, health clubs, karaoke lounges, bars, nightclubs, discotheques, dance parlors, and cabaret venues will be allowed to resume operations.

MGTO will inform the corresponding facilities about the related Executive Order. To safeguard public health, MGTO will also conduct patrols continuously to ensure sustained adherence of the facilities to the related pandemic prevention measures of the Health Bureau after they reopened. Since the temporary closure of the aforesaid facilities, until 16 August, MGTO carried out 200 inspections, to oversee the facilities on their compliance with the measure to remain closed.

From 3 August when Macao entered the state of immediate prevention up to 16 August, MGTO received over 1,500 cases of enquires and requests for assistance. The cases were mainly related to pandemic prevention measures, refund of hotel accommodation, visas, hotels for medical observation, travel information, exit and entry, transportation arrangements, etc. MGTO has followed up with the cases or transferred them to relevant entities.

MGTO will pay close attention to the latest situation of the pandemic, actively comply with Health Bureau’s guidelines on pandemic prevention while making prompt and appropriate arrangements.
