Liverpool John Lennon Airport welcomes Widerøe’s increased service to Bergen

Liverpool, UK, 2019-Jul-15 — /Travel PR News/ — From Sunday 10 November, Widerøe is increasing the number of departures between Bergen and Liverpool from two to three a week. The new Sunday flight has been specially added for football fans, and will provide more good travel options between Bergen and Liverpool.

Fans from Bergen will now have even more travel options for weekend matches during the football season. In addition, Liverpool is a good destination for reaching other football cities, with Manchester just a short train ride away, for example.

Passengers from Liverpool will enjoy excellent connections to and from Widerøe’s route network in Norway – for instance they can experience the fjords and the north with connections to Bodø and Tromsø. Widerøe already operates 18 direct routes from Bergen, and airline partners enable connections to a wide range of exciting destinations both in Norway and internationally.

“I’m delighted that one year after opening the Liverpool–Bergen route we’re now adding a further flight. As a self-confessed Liverpool supporter, however, people have wondered whether there are other reasons for putting the extra flight in here rather than anywhere else. I obviously understand why they ask, but we’re essentially increasing flights between Bergen and Liverpool because we have great faith in the route. This not only applies to passengers from Norway to Liverpool, but also because we believe that Merseysiders will want to discover Bergen and Norway as travel destinations.”
