Liverpool John Lennon Airport announces five new route to Cyprus, France and Romania this Winter season
LIVERPOOL, UK, 2018-Nov-07 — /Travel PR News/ — This week (29th October 2018) has seen the start of the Winter season at Liverpool John Lennon Airport (LJLA) and with it came five new route launches to destinations in Cyprus, France and Romania.
Over the past few days Ryanair have commenced the first of their twice weekly flights to the popular holiday destination of Paphos in Cyprus, easyJet commenced their four times weekly flights to Toulouse in southern France and Wizz Air commenced three new routes to the Romanian cities of Bucharest, Cluj and Iași, bringing a further seven additional departures per week from Liverpool.
These new services will mean 11 additional weekly departures from LJLA and will take the total number of new destinations this year to 13, helping the Airport to continue to grow both the range of destinations served and the number of passengers choosing to fly from Liverpool.
This latest news comes on the back of a successful 2018 Summer season for the Airport with passengers for the April to October period some 3% higher than in 2017 with over 100,000 more passengers using LJLA during the summer months.
Paul Winfield, Director of Aviation Development for LJLA commented, “We are delighted to welcome 5 new routes this winter with Europe’s three largest low cost carriers.
Liverpool John Lennon Airport is the Faster, Easier, Friendlier Airport in the North West and passengers from across the North West and North Wales can all benefit from these new services.”
