The kids are moaning at the back and you’re trying to decipher a badly printed map in the gloom, or, even worse, rifling through a multitude of print outs, looking for the one that contains the telephone number to let your Meet & Greet driver know that you are on your way. It’s not the best start to what should be a relaxing break.
Until now. As from today, Essential Travel customers with an iPhone with iOS6 can use the Apple app, Passbook – Apple’s digital equivalent to carrying around a wallet of vouchers, store cards, event tickets and boarding passes without adding to the bulge of your wallet or straining the seams of your purse.
Smartphone users with the App will be able to:
- See an alert about their parking pop up on their phone’s main lock screen as they get close to the car park, ensuring the pass is there when they need it
- Go to the back of the pass, click on the phone number for the car park or their Meet and Greet driver
- Click on the postcode and their phone will locate the car park in the map app
Passbook is a free app that can be used on:
- iPhone 3GS
- iPhone 4
- iPhone 4S
- iPhone 5
- iPod touch (4th and 5th generation)
It comes as part of iOS6 and it’s free! You will need to download and upgrade to iOS6 if you haven’t already. Andriod smartphone users need to install Passwallet to use the passes. For more information on using Passbook visit: www.essentialtravel.co.uk/airportparking/passbook.asp
