Senior leaders from IHG and the property owner highlighted the strategic importance of bringing Kimpton to Doha, positioning the city as a leading global luxury destination, while aligning with its blend of tradition and modernity. The signing strengthens IHG’s growing luxury and lifestyle presence in the Middle East, following recent openings in Riyadh and planned debuts in Dubai and Jeddah, while complementing IHG’s existing portfolio of eight hotels across five brands in Qatar.

Scheduled to open in mid-2026, the property represents a major milestone in IHG’s ongoing expansion of its luxury and lifestyle portfolio across the Gulf region.

The new hotel will be developed through the conversion of an existing landmark property, positioning Kimpton in one of Doha’s most dynamic urban areas. Kimpton Al Rowda Doha will feature a mix of guest rooms, suites, and serviced apartments, all designed to reflect the brand’s signature approach to boutique luxury. Culinary offerings will form a central part of the hotel’s identity, with five distinct dining and lounge venues planned, including a rooftop bar that will provide panoramic views across the city skyline.
