As a featured presenter and patron sponsor at this week’s Americas Lodging Investment Summit Caribbean & Latin America (ALIS CALA) conference, IHG reaffirms its commitment to growth, with nearly 400 properties either open or in the pipeline across the region.
With a strategic mix of city, suburban, and coastal destinations, IHG continues to expand its presence in the region, offering a range of options for both business and leisure travelers. The company is set to open 32 new hotels across its six brands in the coming years, including Six Senses La Sagesse Grenada, Kimpton Mas Olas Resort and Spa in Baja California, Mexico, and Hotel Indigo Grand Cayman. Many of these properties will feature branded residences, including a new Kimpton hotel and residence offering in Tulum, Mexico.

InterContinental Presidente Monterrey
InterContinental Presidente Monterrey (January 2025): Located in Monterrey’s San Pedro Garza Garcia neighborhood, this hotel offers scenic views of the Sierra Madre de Chipinque mountains. With nearly 300 guest rooms, it integrates personalized service and luxurious amenities that have defined the InterContinental brand for over 75 years.

SOUMA Hotel Lima, Vignette Collection
SOUMA Hotel Lima, Vignette Collection (March 2025): Located in Lima’s Miraflores neighborhood and adjacent to the Pacific Ocean, SOUMA Hotel Lima is the first South American hotel in IHG’s Vignette Collection. The minimalist design is inspired by Peru’s Pacaya Samiria Nature Reserve, offering three signature restaurants, a heated infinity pool, and a spa. avid hotel Queretaro Centro Sur (March 2025): The fifth avid hotel in Mexico, located in the state of Queretaro, offers a new option for travelers seeking quality and comfort in the mid-range segment. The hotel is conveniently close to top local attractions such as the Acueducto de Querétaro, the Querétaro Congress Center, and Corregidora Stadium.

Kimpton Monterrey
Kimpton Monterrey (Scheduled for 2026): Kimpton Monterrey will bring a boutique luxury hotel and branded residences to Monterrey, Mexico’s second-largest economic market. Situated in the Torre Rise, Latin America’s tallest tower upon completion, the hotel will offer panoramic city and mountain views, a full-service restaurant, and a 16th-floor lobby lounge.
