Hotel front desk associates are using the technology as powerful, lightweight tools that help facilitate quick, mobile check in and check out for guests, as well as access to other guest-servicing concierge-type applications. Outside of the property, Hyatt has also stationed iPad-equipped associates at airports to check in guests well before they set foot in the hotel. Additionally, iPads and tablets offer useful features for Hyatt sales teams, including remote desktop access, VPN access to Hyatt hotel systems and presentation viewers that demonstrate hotels’ capabilities to customers. Hyatt’s iPad and tablet implementation has helped reinforce Hyatt’s role at the forefront of technology.
