(PRESS RELEASE) LONDON, 2025-Aug-1 — /Travel PR News/ — IHG Hotels & Resorts today unveils Hotel Indigo London Clerkenwell, the newest addition to its luxury and lifestyle collection in the UK & Ireland. Situated at 2 Clerkenwell Road—just a five-minute stroll from Farringdon Station—this property embodies the brand’s ethos of neighbourhood storytelling by paying tribute to one of London’s most inventive and design-centric quarters.

True to the Hotel Indigo concept, no two properties are identical; each reflects its locale’s distinct culture, character, and history. At Clerkenwell, known for its clockmakers, goldsmiths, and architects, the hotel’s 143 guest rooms evoke the ambience of an architect’s studio. Desks resemble cutting mats, headboards mimic rolled blueprint tubes, and guest-room numbers are styled as clocks set to the corresponding hour. Guests also benefit from high-speed Wi-Fi, in-room espresso machines, Urban Apothecary toiletries, and versatile workspaces that blend functionality with aesthetic flair.

Dining venues at Hotel Indigo London Clerkenwell draw inspiration from the district’s rich culinary narrative. Wilderness Kitchen, the all-day restaurant, offers Mediterranean-inspired, vegetarian-friendly dishes crafted from seasonal British produce—an homage to Clerkenwell’s Italian heritage and proximity to Smithfield Market. Sabini Bar, named for 1920s local figure Charles Sabini, serves signature cocktails, specialty coffee, and an expertly curated wine list in an elegant setting. Meanwhile, Hat and Feathers, a Grade II–listed Victorian pub complete with a Dickens Corner, provides a traditional British pub experience featuring classic fare and a rotating selection of local and international ales.

Hotel Indigo’s bars and restaurants function as casual yet elevated community hubs, where locally sourced ingredients and roasted coffee reinforce each neighbourhood’s unique story.

Keith Davies, owner of Hotel Indigo London Clerkenwell, said, “As a family-owned hotel, we’ve meticulously restored this building to honor Clerkenwell’s creative spirit. Our goal is to offer guests an environment that is both design-rich and welcoming.” General Manager James Olivier added, “From architecture-inspired interiors to thoughtfully curated food and drink offerings, our aim is to immerse visitors in the heart and soul of Clerkenwell.”

In addition to accommodation and dining, the property features two daylight-filled meeting rooms above Hat and Feathers, accommodating up to 60 guests for board meetings, workshops, private dinners, or networking events. The Hat and Feathers pub itself can be exclusively booked for larger gatherings.

Guests booking via the hotel’s website can enjoy a £40 food and beverage credit, valid across all dining outlets and in-room service. The Pet Getaway package ensures four-legged visitors are pampered with arrival treats and a deluxe in-room dog bed.

Conveniently connected via the Elizabeth Line and Thameslink to Heathrow and Gatwick, Hotel Indigo London Clerkenwell serves both business and leisure travellers. Room rates begin at £260 per night.

This opening brings the global Hotel Indigo portfolio to 169 operational properties—including Hotel Indigo Albufeira and Hotel Indigo Leeds—with 136 more in development.
