2013-08-28 — /travelprnews.com/ — All roads in Holyrood Park will be closed to vehicle traffic during the end of the Edinburgh Festival Fireworks Display this Sunday 1st September 2013 between 18:00 and 23:00 with the exception of the loop road

This includes the roads between Horse Wynd and Holyrood Gait/Holyrood Road.

A number of park staff will be on also be on duty.

Martin Gray, Historic Scotland Visitor Services Manager for Holyrood Park said: “We are closing the park to vehicle traffic as we have done in previous years to safely manage the high volume of people who use Holyrood Park as a vantage point to see the fireworks.

“We would recommend that visitors who want to take advantage of the spectacular views of the fireworks from Holyrood Park access the area on foot, ensure they are wearing footwear with good grips and bring a torch for the journey back.

“Sunday road closures between 08.00 and 16.00 will apply as normal”.
