Four Thai properties and two Siem Reap hotels were also recognised, alongside spa awards for four Anantara Spas and brand distinctions for Anantara Hotels & Resorts and the Minor DISCOVERY loyalty programme.
(PRESS RELEASE) BANGKOK, 2025-Jun-20 — /Travel PR News/ — Minor Hotels has once again demonstrated its preeminence in luxury hospitality, securing 26 distinctions—including three “Best of the Best” awards—at the 2025 Travel + Leisure Luxury Awards Asia Pacific. Voted by an international readership, these accolades honour the region’s leading hotels, resorts, experiences, and hospitality figures.
Spanning heritage city retreats, seaside havens, jungle lodges, and wellness sanctuaries, Minor’s brands shone across multiple markets:
- Laos: Avani+ Luang Prabang was crowned Best Hotel Pool, listed among the country’s Best Hotels, and recognised for Best Hotel Spa. General Manager Max Chin also captured the title of Best GM in Laos.
- Vietnam: Anantara Hoi An Resort was named Best Upcountry Hotel, while Anantara Quy Nhon Villas earned praise for both its beachfront setting and its spa excellence.
- Maldives: Anantara Kihavah Maldives Villas featured in five categories—Best Resort, Best House Reef, Best Resort Pool, Best Resort Spa, and Top 10 Most Outrageous Villas. Sister properties Anantara Dhigu, Anantara Veli, and Niyama Private Islands also received top marks for leadership, spa offerings, and iconic overwater designs.
- Thailand: Four Minor Hotels properties placed among the best—Anantara Chiang Mai Resort and Anantara Golden Triangle Elephant Camp & Resort in the Top 10 Upcountry Hotels (with the latter also among Best Hotel Pools); Anantara Layan Phuket Resort for Beach & Island Resorts; and Anantara Siam Bangkok Hotel among Best City Hotels. Luxury river cruise brand Loy Pela Voyages was voted a Top 10 River Cruise Line on the Chao Phraya.
- Cambodia: In Siem Reap, both Anantara Angkor Resort and FCC Angkor by Avani ranked in the Top 10 Best City Hotels.
Spa and wellness emerged as a particular strength, with four awards going to Anantara Spas at Quy Nhon Villas, Avani+ Luang Prabang, Kihavah, and Veli. On the branding front, Anantara Hotels & Resorts was named one of the Best Hotel Brands, and the Minor DISCOVERY loyalty programme (through GHA DISCOVERY membership) was lauded among Best Hotel Loyalty Programs.
