(PRESS RELEASE) DUBAI, UAE, 2025-Jul-9 — /Travel PR News/ — As global summer travel surges, Emirates’ analysis of booking and search data for July–August 2025 reveals travellers venturing toward fresh cultural gems and less-explored locales. Overall flight searches have climbed 7% year-on-year, led by a 35% spike from France, followed by Ireland, Canada, Saudi Arabia, Germany and the UAE.
Emerging as this season’s standout is Vietnam, with interest surging 61%. Emirates now serves Ho Chi Minh City, Hanoi and—since June—Da Nang via Bangkok, offering seamless connections to Europe and the Americas. Vietnam’s bustling street-food scene, UNESCO heritage sites and pristine coastline promise an unforgettable escape.
Mauritius claims the second spot, with searches up 41% for its idyllic beaches and vibrant culture; Emirates operates two daily A380 flights. Sri Lanka follows (+32%), celebrated for its tea country, ancient temples and affordable luxury. Japan rounds out the Far East’s allure, with searches up 28% for Tokyo Narita, Tokyo Haneda and Osaka across 21 weekly flights. In Europe, France remains a perennial favourite (+25%), featuring 21 weekly flights to Paris (including three daily A380s), daily A380 to Nice and a daily A350 to Lyon.
Breaking down regional trends, Emirates observed a 13% rise in overall UAE searches, with growing interest in Sri Lanka, Jordan, India, Lebanon and Morocco. US travellers are increasingly browsing African destinations—Egypt, Kenya, South Africa—while UK searches climbed 12%, favouring New Zealand, Australia, Japan, Sri Lanka and Mauritius. Indian flyers are eyeing Australia, New Zealand and Ireland; Australians are planning European summers in France and the UK; and Germans are looking eastward toward Japan, Vietnam, South Korea and the Seychelles.
Longer summer stays prevail among Emirates’ guests: around one-third of travellers from India, Australia, the UK and Germany extend trips beyond a month, whereas US visitors typically opt for two- to three-week getaways.
Emirates also anticipates robust inbound traffic to Dubai. Solo travellers—nearly half of US, Indian and Australian arrivals—blend work and leisure for week-long stays. Family groups account for about one-third of US and Indian visitors (shorter for Indians, 1–2 weeks for Americans), while UK families often exceed two-week visits. Young couples from Australia and Germany favour extended Dubai stays of two weeks up to a month.
