New York, U.S.A., 2021-Feb-17 — /Travel PR News/ — Forbes Travel Guide has again recognised Four Seasons Hotel New York Downtown and The Spa at Four Seasons Hotel New York Downtown with Five Stars each, culminating in the Hotel being one of only three in New York City that carry the enviable Ten-Star Rating in the 2021 Star Awards.

Four Seasons Hotel New York Downtown Earns Top Marks

Four Seasons Hotel New York Downtown, which first received the Forbes Five Star Award in 2018, is once again being celebrated for outstanding service in New York City. Under the guidance of General Manager Thomas Carreras, the Hotel continues its leadership as one of the foremost luxury lifestyle destinations in Lower Manhattan.

In 2019, the Hotel collaborated with WorldPride when New York City hosted the world-famous month-long celebration; launched a custom co-branded sweatshirt in partnership with Marc Jacobs for New York Fashion Week; launched a Live Well, Sleep Well experience; and launched its inaugural Holiday Gift Guide. In 2020, after eight months of closure, the Hotel reopened with the launch of the new Empire Suite Experience, followed by the debut of Club27, a private health and wellness membership club and most recently a Life + Longevity experience, in collaboration with the Princeton Longevity Center.

“These 2021 award winners are a testament to the resiliency of the hospitality industry,” said Filip Boyen, CEO of Forbes Travel Guide. “During an unprecedented time, these top properties adapted to numerous adversities all while maintaining high service levels and ensuring the health and security of their guests and staff. We hope that these excellent properties will inspire travellers for when they are ready to venture out on their next trip.”

The Spa at Four Seasons Hotel New York Downtown Continues to Lead the Way

The Spa at Four Seasons Hotel New York Downtown, which first received the Forbes Five Star Award in 2020, has been heralded as the ultimate urban sanctuary of wellness and pampering in Tribeca since its opening in 2016. Led by Senior Director of Spa and Wellness Tara Cruz, The Spa is well known for its innovative approach to health and wellness with the dedicated Resident Healers Program. The program, which was originally launched in 2018, has continued to expand with the addition of an international sonic alchemist, Medicine Readings by Mama Medicine, and most recently, with the addition of a world-renowned astrologer and The Traveling Hypnotist. The Spa is also home to a Bespoke Aromatherapy Experience and Blend Bar; Next-Gen Wellness Workshops; and exclusive SOAK Service offerings. Adored by locals and revered by hotel guests, The Spa has reached far beyond tradition and has reinvented itself as a renowned healing temple in the bustling city that never sleeps.

Najla Ceman Named Spa Employee of the Year by Forbes Travel Guide

Additionally this year as part of its 2021 Star Awards, Forbes Travel Guide announced that Najla Ceman of The Spa at Four Seasons Hotel New York Downtown has won the “Spa Employee of the Year” accolade.

“We are thrilled that our lead therapist Najla has been recognised by Forbes Travel Guide and has received this incredible accolade. We are extremely proud of her. Najla is a true example of how passion and determination can help you navigate through even the most challenging of times. She inspires us all in so many ways,” says Tara Cruz, Senior Director of Spa and Wellness.

The second annual Employee of the Year awards celebrate the exemplary staff members who stand out in their service of guests and co-workers. When The Spa closed for nine months, the 20-year beauty veteran proactively became certified in numerous health-and-safety-related courses to ensure that she was prepared to meet the new demands upon reopening and was well equipped to train her colleagues. But finding positivity in difficult times is a way of life for Ceman. When she left war-torn Bosnia 27 years ago, she had just started her first year of college. Ceman has recently resumed her classes at BMCC in New York City, working towards an Associate Degree in Liberal Arts with plans to graduate in September 2021.

“During a most challenging year for the hospitality industry, these individuals not only persevered, they made a significant impact on guests and their fellow colleagues,” said Filip Boyen, CEO of Forbes Travel Guide. “Each of these winners personifies the resiliency, ingenuity and graciousness of our community. They are an inspiration to us all.”
