Consistent investment in people, training and standards pays off
2013-02-08 — /travelprnews.com/ — The family owned Château La Chaire Hotel, located in Jersey’s quiet north east corner, is celebrating the award of 4 AA Stars for the first time. 2013 seems to be a year of significant milestones for the hotel and awarding body, the AA, as the award coincides with the 10th anniversary of manager Mark Collins joining the hotel and the 100th anniversary of the AA hotel star ratings scheme.
“Consistency and persistence has been the foundation of our success” says Mark “We work hard to maintain a stable team and invest a lot of time, effort and money in staff training and customer care. We are absolutely delighted to see that hard work pay off and finally see 4 AA stars above the door.”
The Château is owned by the Hiscox family and the new AA 4 Star grading for the Château is a first for them. “My father discovered the Château in the 1980’s on one of his many visits to the island.” said Darren Hiscox, the CEO of Hatton Hotels. “The Château always had a special place in his heart and I am sure that he would have been immensely proud to see it awarded 4 AA stars”
The family, who also have hotels in the Cotswold’s and Somerset, acquired the hotel in 1986 and have supported the hotel’s consistent high standards of customer care with recent investment in upgraded luxury bedrooms and public areas.
Jersey is one of the sunniest places in the British Isles and the Château la Chaire offers flight inclusive breaks from any of the 30 plus UK airports that serve the island.
