
Explore India’s Golden Triangle and Brahmaputra River on Viking’s “Wonders of India” Voyage

Highlights include the Taj Mahal, Hawa Mahal, Kaziranga National Park wildlife safaris, and cultural visits to river communities and Majuli island. Slated to enter service in late 2027, this purpose-built ship will operate a 15-day “Wonders of India” journey, combining an eight-day river voyage between Guwahati and Nimati Ghat in Assam with guided hotel stays in Delhi, Agra, and Jaipur.

Onboard the three-deck Viking Brahmaputra, 40 outside staterooms—each with floor-to-ceiling sliding glass doors and a private veranda—will accommodate 80 guests. The vessel features Viking’s hallmark Scandinavian design, a Sky Bar on the Upper Deck, and a Spa & Fitness Center.

The “Wonders of India” itinerary departs and returns to Delhi, bookending the river segment with two nights in Delhi, one night in Agra, and one night in Jaipur. Thirteen included excursions guide guests through UNESCO World Heritage Sites such as the Taj Mahal, Old Delhi’s labyrinthine alleys, and Jaipur’s Hawa Mahal. While sailing the Brahmaputra, travelers will visit Guwahati’s temples, witness riverside village life, search for one-horned rhinos and wild water buffalo in Kaziranga National Park, and experience the traditions of Majuli, one of the world’s largest river islands.
Viking also offers optional pre- and post-cruise land extensions: two nights in Delhi; three nights in Dubai; four nights in Kathmandu; or five nights split between Cochin and Mumbai, all fully guided.
