This new route, set to debut on January 31, 2026, will run through March 21, 2026, with weekly flights every Saturday. The service will be operated with an Airbus A320 aircraft, further solidifying Eurowings’ commitment to expanding its winter network from Germany to the Lapland region.
The new route to Kittilä complements Eurowings’ already robust winter offerings, enhancing connectivity between Germany and Finnish Lapland. In addition to Kittilä, Eurowings will also operate flights to other popular Finnish destinations next winter, including Ivalo, Rovaniemi, Kuusamo, and Helsinki.
According to the Reiseanalyse 2024 study commissioned by Visit Finland, interest in Finland is at an all-time high among German travelers. The study indicates that 3.5 million Germans are considering a holiday trip to Finland within the next three years, underscoring the growing demand for travel to the region.
