Transported from Dubai on an Emirates A380 decorated with a bold NBA-themed livery, the trophy was accompanied by NBA legend James Worthy and was presented to NBA Commissioner Adam Silver and Emirates Senior Vice President Thierry Aucoc upon arrival.
The tournament, which kicked off on November 12 and will conclude on December 17 in Las Vegas, features a vibrant Emirates aircraft design, with a blue fuselage and red accents to highlight the partnership. The themed flight offered passengers a unique experience, with basketball-themed cabin decor, NBA-branded food boxes, and access to NBA classic games on Emirates’ in-flight entertainment system. Passengers in First and Business Class even had the chance to meet James Worthy in the onboard lounge while enjoying traditional game-day snacks.
Throughout the tournament, passengers traveling to and from 13 destinations in the U.S. and Canada can enjoy NBA-inspired services onboard. Emirates has enhanced its lounges in Dubai, New York, San Francisco, Los Angeles, and Boston with NBA-themed food and beverage menus until November 22. Fans can also find limited-edition NBA merchandise at the Emirates Official Store, including replica models of the NBA-branded aircraft.
The Emirates NBA Cup action continues this Friday with 12 games, including high-profile matchups like the San Antonio Spurs versus the Los Angeles Lakers and the Memphis Grizzlies against the Golden State Warriors.
