(PRESS RELEASE) DUBAI, 2025-Apr-28 — /Travel PR News/ — Emirates is set to revolutionize its in-flight experience with the introduction of upgraded Boeing 777s, Airbus A380s, and the first long-range Airbus A350 aircraft to 8 more cities by the end of 2025. The airline’s bold retrofit programme, which represents the largest investment in aviation history at US $5 billion, will offer refreshed cabins with state-of-the-art interiors, enhancing comfort and premium offerings across its network.

By the end of 2025, Emirates will serve over 70 cities with aircraft sporting its latest cabin designs, nearly 50% of its global network. The airline will also offer more than 2 million Premium Economy seats annually, bolstering its competitive edge in providing elevated travel experiences. The retrofit program, which began in November 2022, is set to refurbish 219 aircraft, with 110 Airbus A380s and 109 Boeing 777s being updated.

Emirates’ latest aircraft deployments include new A380 services to Bangkok, Hong Kong, Nice, and Perth, along with upgraded Boeing 777 services to Madrid, Kuala Lumpur, Phuket, and Frankfurt, and another refitted Boeing 777 service to Dublin. These routes will benefit from the new-generation cabins, providing passengers with more comfort, modern amenities, and a seamless travel experience.

The airline’s first long-range Airbus A350 is set to debut in Adelaide, Australia, on December 1, 2025, further enhancing Emirates’ global footprint. The A350 will offer enhanced long-haul service with its ability to operate non-stop for over 15 hours, connecting Emirates to one of the key markets in the airline’s network.

Adnan Kazim, Emirates’ Deputy President and Chief Commercial Officer, said: “The ongoing rollout of our refurbished Airbus A380s, Boeing 777s, and the new Airbus A350s, combined with the expansion of Premium Economy seating, allows us to continue offering travelers an elevated flying experience. Our retrofit programme further cements Emirates as the industry leader in Premium Economy, and by the end of 2025, we will deliver more Premium Economy capacity, expanding the choice for customers seeking an enhanced travel experience.”

Since the beginning of its retrofit programme, Emirates has completed the upgrade of 51 Airbus A380s and Boeing 777s, bringing a premium experience to 38 destinations. In total, over 8,500 Premium Economy seats, 2,000 First Class suites, and 12,700 Business Class seats will be installed as part of this monumental project.

The airline is well on its way to meeting its ambitious goals with a significant portion of its fleet slated to feature upgraded interiors by the end of 2025. Emirates’ commitment to offering exceptional products is reinforced by the high demand for its Premium Economy and Business Class cabins, with load factors averaging over 80% on long-haul routes.
