
Emirates and Kuwait Airways Strengthen Ties with New Interline Agreement to Boost Passenger Connectivity

This partnership aims to offer more flight options and convenient schedules for Kuwait Airways customers. The agreement was signed by key executives from both airlines, marking a step forward in strengthening relations between the two airlines and the countries they represent.
(PRESS RELEASE) DUBAI, 2025-Apr-28 — /Travel PR News/ — Kuwait Airways and Emirates have officially signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) at the Arabian Travel Market (ATM) in Dubai, marking a significant step forward in enhancing cooperation between the two airlines. This agreement will pave the way for an interline agreement, offering passengers more flight options and increased connectivity to Dubai and beyond.
The MoU was signed by Kuwait Airways Chairman, Captain Abdulmohsen Salem Al-Fagaan, and Emirates’ Deputy President and Chief Commercial Officer, Adnan Kazim, in the presence of His Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, Chairman and Chief Executive of Emirates Airline & Group, and Sheikh Eng. Humoud Mubarak Al-Humoud Al-Sabah, President of the Directorate General of Civil Aviation, Kuwait. Also attending the ceremony were other executives from both airlines’ management teams.
Captain Abdulmohsen Salem Al-Fagaan expressed his enthusiasm for the partnership, stating, “Kuwait Airways is proud to partner with Emirates, one of the world’s leading airlines. This Memorandum of Understanding will allow us to explore opportunities for commercial agreements and bilateral partnerships that benefit both parties. We see Emirates as a crucial strategic partner, and this agreement will enhance our operations between Kuwait and the UAE.”
He also emphasized that the collaboration would further strengthen the ties between Kuwait and the UAE, bringing mutual benefits to both countries. “I would like to extend my gratitude to Mr. Adnan Kazim and both teams for their efforts in making this partnership a reality,” Al-Fagaan added.
Adnan Kazim, Emirates’ Deputy President and Chief Commercial Officer, commented, “We are excited to collaborate with Kuwait Airways to develop this interline agreement. Emirates, which has been operating in Kuwait since 1989, currently serves the route with 29 weekly flights, including services with the A350 and Boeing 777 aircraft, both of which feature the airline’s highly praised Premium Economy cabin and newly configured Business Class seats.
