Embraer Strengthens Production Resilience with a Deep Data Collaboration with Aquarela Analytics

(NEWS) SÃO JOSÉ DOS CAMPOS, Brazil, 2025-Dec-4 — /Travel PR News/ — Embraer has introduced Smart Planning, a new artificial intelligence-powered tool designed to optimize material management and increase supply-chain efficiency for aircraft production according to their  announcement. Developed over a ten-month collaboration with Aquarela Analytics, the system analyzes large volumes of data to support better inventory decisions, helping teams anticipate shortages or overstock scenarios and streamline procurement. The initiative is part of Embraer’s broader digital transformation strategy aimed at improving operational integration, reducing production risks, and increasing agility across its manufacturing network.

The project combined Embraer’s Agile methodology with Aquarela Analytics’ Data Culture Methodology, progressing through two major phases that included structuring data frameworks, building predictive AI models, and implementing visualization dashboards. According to Dimas Tomelin, Embraer’s Vice President of Strategy, Digital and Innovation, the tool serves as a real-time control hub for materials used in aircraft assembly, improving planning accuracy and enabling more responsive supply-chain management. Aquarela Analytics CEO Marcos Santos highlighted the scale and complexity of the initiative, noting that over two terabytes of information were evaluated as part of the development process.

Beyond inventory efficiency, Embraer says the platform establishes a foundation for further advancements in supply-chain automation and predictive maintenance. Digital integration is expected to support stronger partnerships with suppliers, reduce costs, and enhance overall production resilience. The initiative aligns with Industry 4.0 transformation trends across aerospace, as manufacturers increasingly adopt data-driven operations and AI-based decision systems.

Aquarela Analytics is one of Brazil’s leading pioneers in artificial intelligence and data-driven transformation, with more than 12 years of experience supporting large organizations through the shift to Industry 4.0. Recognized for integrating digital and physical technologies — spanning IoT, AI, Big Data, GenAI, and cloud computing — the company uses an innovative but pragmatic approach to help businesses optimize operations, scale efficiency, and make strategic decisions grounded in advanced analytics. With a multidisciplinary team operating across 15 Brazilian states and three additional countries, Aquarela has become a trusted partner for enterprises navigating the complexities of digital modernization.

Founded in Florianópolis, Aquarela accelerated rapidly after participating in programs such as Endeavor Scale Up and Midi Tecnológico/Acate. In 2022, the company received national recognition with the CNI Award for Innovative Product Development and secured more than R$10 million in investment from Votorantim Energia (now Auren Energia). Today, Aquarela offers a robust technological ecosystem, anchored by the Aquarela Data Platform (ADP) for automated Data Lake deployment, alongside its Tactics solution suite for Intelligent Routing, Dynamic Pricing and Energy Trading, and the SAM line focused on predictive and prescriptive maintenance.

The company’s differentiator lies in its proprietary Data Culture Methodology (DCM) — a framework designed to evaluate analytical maturity and guide organizations toward scalable, data-driven decision models. This methodology, paired with Aquarela’s technical platforms, has made the company a data transformation reference for leading global brands including Mercedes-Benz, Scania, SolarBR Coca-Cola, and Embraer. Aquarela continues to shape the future of industrial analytics, empowering businesses to adopt smart data ecosystems and unlock long-term competitive value in the digital age.
