(PRESS RELEASE) LUTON, 2025-May-13 — /Travel PR News/ — easyJet, the Official Airline of the Eurovision Song Contest, has launched an unforgettable celebration flight, taking 75 lucky Eurovision superfans on a glittering journey from London Gatwick to Basel, the host city for the 2025 Eurovision Song Contest.

As part of the excitement, fans enjoyed a Eurovision-themed adventure in the sky, complete with performances, sing-alongs, and special prizes, all curated to celebrate the spirit of Europe’s most iconic music competition. The flight, which departed yesterday afternoon, provided an exclusive opportunity for superfans to experience the magic of Eurovision before they even reached the contest.

Upon arriving at London Gatwick, superfans were greeted with a dedicated Eurovision check-in area where they received exclusive goodie bags filled with Eurovision-themed items such as scoring paddles, luggage tags, sunglasses, and access to a special photo booth before boarding.

Once airborne, the Sky High Orange Runway talent competition took center stage. Hosted by drag queen and Eurovision aficionado Ginger Johnson, this high-flying tribute to the Eurovision Song Contest saw three talented performers from City Academy, a London-based performing arts academy, competing in front of an enthusiastic in-flight audience. The performers, including Elaine Mc Adam from Ireland, Anita Hammerton-Reid from the UK, and Lilly Nagy from Germany, dazzled with their renditions of iconic songs such as “Mama Mia,” “It’s Raining Men,” and “I Will Survive.” Passengers became the judges at 35,000 feet, awarding Douze Points to their favorite performances.

The winning performance, delivered by Elaine Mc Adam, earned her an exclusive trophy, crowning her the winner of easyJet’s Sky High Orange Runway talent competition.

Throughout the flight, passengers were also treated to surprise giveaways, including limited-edition easyJet Eurovision merchandise. Upon arrival in Basel, they were warmly greeted by Lumo, the mascot of the 2025 Eurovision Song Contest, who has been bringing the Eurovision spirit to the host city.

Michael Brown, easyJet’s Director of Cabin Services, said: “It’s been an absolute joy to bring the Eurovision spirit to the skies for our passengers. As the Official Airline of the Eurovision Song Contest, we’re thrilled to create memorable experiences for our customers and help them explore Europe’s best entertainment destinations.”

Ginger Johnson added: “What an amazing experience to take part in this Eurovision celebration at 35,000 feet! Performing in the air was a first for me, and it was truly unforgettable.”
