City of El Dorado releases a new visitors’ reference guide

EL DORADO, ARK., 2018-Jul-20 — /Travel PR News/ — With the summer travel season heating up, the city of El Dorado has released a new visitors’ reference guide highlighting overnight accommodations, unique dining experiences, local festivals, live concerts and more.

Released by the El Dorado Advertising & Promotions Commission and produced by the Commission’s agency of record, The Diamond Agency, the 16-page pamphlet was developed as a resource for area entities assisting travelers to El Dorado.

“Earlier this year we were approached by several organizations and businesses expressing a need for a quick reference guide for visitors,” said Carol McDade, manager of The Diamond Agency. “They sought the essentials for short-term stays in our city, such as lodging, dining, shopping and entertainment information.”

Following several meetings with area employers and others on the frontline of the hospitality industry, the agency developed a handy digest-sized publication with the most pertinent information, McDade explained.

“The El Dorado Visitors’ Info is an offshoot of our popular El Dorado Insider magazine which features seasonal events, shopping amenities and local personalities every quarter,” she said. “We have condensed that resource into a convenient 16-page guide packed with striking photography and useful information for visitors.”

From a seasonal calendar of events to listings for dining, lodging, meeting spaces and area attractions, the El Dorado Visitors’ Info guide is designed to operate as a year-round resource for anyone traveling to the city, whether for business or pleasure. As well, the brief guide includes more detailed information on entertainment staples of the community such as the Murphy Arts District, South Arkansas Arts Center, Main Street El Dorado and the South Arkansas Symphony.

For copies of the El Dorado Visitors’ Info guide, contact the El Dorado-Union County Chamber of Commerce at 870.863.6113 or access the guide online at www.GoElDorado.com.

The guide will be released in all 13 Arkansas Welcome Centers, and locally at El Dorado City Hall, the El Dorado Conference Center, Main Street El Dorado, the South Arkansas Arts Center, Murphy Arts District, and the South Arkansas Historical Preservation Society.
