The two airlines have signed a Memorandum of Understanding setting out plans for the partnership. Once implemented, the cooperation is expected to make it possible for travellers to book selected journeys involving both AEGEAN and Icelandair under one reservation, helping simplify connections and support a more convenient travel experience.

For Icelandair customers, the planned arrangement will open easier access to destinations served by AEGEAN across Greece. For AEGEAN customers, it will create a new pathway to Iceland through Icelandair’s network. The airlines will announce the specific routes included in the codeshare at a later stage.

The Memorandum of Understanding was signed during the 82nd IATA Annual General Meeting in Rio de Janeiro, where airline leaders gathered to discuss industry priorities and future cooperation across global aviation.
