2013-04-22 — /travelprnews.com/ — Passengers traveling through Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport (CVG) can now grab a scoop or two of Graeter’s famous black raspberry chip ice cream to enhance their traveling experience.
The Cincinnati ice-cream maker has opened a kiosk in Concourse A and will serve up its signature flavor and several others to those departing, arriving or connecting through CVG. CVG becomes the first and only airport in the world offering Graeter’s ice cream, candy and bakery products.
“This really fits with our goal of making CVG a reflection of its community,” said Candace McGraw, chief executive officer of the airport. “Few things signify the Greater Cincinnati area as Graeter’s. It will provide our passengers with a taste of home before they take off and once they arrive. And those who grew up on Graeter’s, but have moved elsewhere, will have the chance to grab a scoop and go back in time anytime they connect through our airport.”
Under McGraw’s leadership, the airport has showcased the region surrounding it in a variety of ways, from featuring local art and music to redesigning Concourse A with photographs from the archives of The Cincinnati Enquirer and local photographers, as well as jet bridges that depict local landmarks, and carpeting embedded with a rolling wave to represent the meandering Ohio River.
The Graeter’s kiosk is located in Concourse A near Gate 12.
