Chicago Department of Aviation: United Airlines will operate seasonal nonstop service between Chicago and Dublin in summer 2015

CHICAGO, 2014-11-26 — /Travel PR News/ — United Airlines today announced that it will operate seasonal nonstop service between Chicago and Dublin in summer 2015.

Flight 152 will depart O’Hare International Airport daily at 6:05 p.m., arriving in Dublin, Ireland at 7:35 a.m. the following day (all times local). On the return, flight 153 will depart Dublin Airport daily at 9:50 a.m., arriving in Chicago at 12:15 p.m. the same day.  Flight times will be seven hours 30 minutes eastbound and eight hours 25 minutes westbound.

The flights will operate using Boeing 757-200 aircraft with a total of 169 seats – 16 flat-bed seats in United BusinessFirst and 153 in United Economy, including 45 Economy Plus seats.

“On behalf of Mayor Rahm Emanuel, we’re very pleased that Chicago’s hometown carrier is offering another route from O’Hare International Airport to Ireland,” said Chicago Department of Aviation Commissioner Rosemarie S. Andolino. “New service from Chicago to international destinations such as Dublin increases business and tourism opportunities in our city and generates economic activity.”

Chicago O’Hare will be the third United hub with nonstop service to Dublin, after New York/Newark and Washington Dulles.

The Chicago-Dublin service will operate seasonally from June 4, 2015 through Aug. 17, 2015.

United launched seasonal service to Shannon, Ireland from June 6 to August 26, 2013.
