During her stay, Chef Silverton will curate a menu that combines the island’s vibrant local ingredients with her signature Italian-inspired flavors. Guests will enjoy dishes such as Braised Beef Cheek with Salsa Verde and Mashed Potatoes, Salmon with Lentils and Cabbage Sotto’cetto, and Apple Crisp with Vanilla Gelato, all offering a taste of Silverton’s culinary genius.
Chef Silverton’s illustrious career began with a passion for pastry, which led her to train at the prestigious Lenotre Culinary Institute in France. She became the head pastry chef at Wolfgang Puck’s Spago in Southern California, where she honed her craft and made a name for herself. Silverton’s dedication to baking led her to open La Brea Bakery in 1989, which quickly became the nation’s top artisan bakery. In recognition of her achievements, Silverton received the James Beard Foundation’s “Pastry Chef of the Year” award in 1990 and the coveted “Outstanding Chef” award in 2014.
In addition to her culinary accomplishments, Silverton has authored 11 cookbooks, including the New York Times bestseller The Cookie That Changed My Life, a collection of classic cakes, cookies, muffins, and pies.
