Cathay Pacific Debuts New Inflight Safety Video Highlighting Hong Kong’s Vibrant Culture and Landmarks

The new video will begin appearing on flights from August 1, 2024. The unveiling event included key figures from Cathay Pacific and the Hong Kong Tourism Board, highlighting the strong partnership in promoting the city.

(PRESS RELEASE) Hong Kong, China, 2024-Jul-29— /Travel PR News/ — Cathay Pacific has unveiled its latest inflight safety video, which showcases essential safety procedures set against the dynamic and vibrant backdrop of Hong Kong. The video, created in collaboration with the Hong Kong Tourism Board (HKTB), aims to educate passengers on safety protocols while promoting the unique charms of the airline’s home city.

The new video features iconic landmarks, bustling local scenes, and cultural attractions across Hong Kong. It includes a variety of locations such as a dai pai dong for the “no smoking” announcement, a dragon boat race for the life jacket demonstration, and Shek O Beach for emergency procedures. Other notable locations include Causeway Bay, Xiqu Centre at West Kowloon Cultural District, the Peak Tram, Tin Hau Temple in Yau Ma Tei, and Clearwater Bay Country Park.

To celebrate the launch, Cathay Pacific hosted a preview event at The Sky Lounge, The Upper House, attended by Cathay’s Chief Customer and Commercial Officer Lavinia Lau, HKTB Executive Director Dane Cheng, and Commissioner for Tourism Vivian Sum. The event underscored the airline’s commitment to safety and its efforts to highlight Hong Kong’s cultural and natural beauty to a global audience.
