(PRESS RELEASE) BUDAPEST, 2025-Jul-11 — /Travel PR News/ — Budapest Airport, a member of the VINCI Airports family, has announced that Germany’s long-standing carrier Condor will begin operating a three-times-daily service between Budapest and Frankfurt starting 1 May 2026. Utilizing Airbus A320 aircraft configured for 180 seats, this new link will boost weekly capacity on this key European corridor to 10,000 seats when combined with Lufthansa’s existing Frankfurt flights.

The introduction of Condor’s operations reinforces Budapest Airport’s strong German network—now serving 11 destinations in Germany—and underscores Germany’s position as the airport’s third-largest market by direct seat capacity. By adding another high-frequency connection to Frankfurt, Europe’s premier financial hub, Budapest gains both greater flexibility for business travelers and expanded options for leisure passengers.

Markus Klaushofer, Chief Commercial Officer at Budapest Airport, said:

“We’re delighted to welcome Condor to our airline portfolio. Their decision to add daily flights to Frankfurt reflects confidence in Budapest’s connectivity and supports our ambition to grow Ferenc Liszt International Airport into the region’s leading aviation gateway. Passengers will benefit from more departure times and competitive seat availability on one of Hungary’s most important international routes.”
