Van Nuys, California – 2012-07-21 — /travelprnews.com/ — Today Bauer Transportation, Inc. becomes the new operator of the Van Nuys FlyAway. Bauer’s was awarded the contract in January 2012 after responding to a Request for Proposals (RFP) released by Los Angeles World Airports’ (LAWA) in August 2011.
New buses being introduced at the FlyAway will use a bio-diesel fuel mix and amenities such as free Wi-Fi, Direct TV, power outlets, and luxurious leatherette seating. Bauer’s management is also looking at ways to make the Van Nuys FlyAway more efficient by offering; automated ticket vending machines, tickets sold by bus drivers at Los Angeles International airport (LAX) and online ticket sales.
The Van Nuys FlyAway is part of the LAX FlyAway system.
