Amadeus and Hospitality Alliance Team Up to Upskill Youth for Global Travel Careers
(IN SHORT) Amadeus and the World Sustainable Hospitality Alliance are expanding their alliance to scale the Employability Program, which delivers digital and hospitality training to underprivileged youth. Launched in April with a 200-person pilot in four Indian cities in partnership with Kherwadi, the program pairs theoretical instruction with placements at local and global hotel brands. Amadeus will support through funding, software training, and employee volunteering. Already active in India, Egypt, and Sri Lanka, the initiative has graduated over 6,000 young people, with a focus on removing barriers for women. Alliance CEO Glenn Mandziuk and Amadeus’s Francisco Pérez-Lozao Rüter both underscored the project’s potential to drive social impact and foster Net Positive hospitality.
(PRESS RELEASE) MADRID, Spain, 2025-Jun-19 — /Travel PR News/ — Amadeus, a global leader in travel technology, and the World Sustainable Hospitality Alliance (the Alliance) are deepening their collaboration under Amadeus’s Community Impact program to scale the Alliance’s Employability Program worldwide. This enhanced partnership will equip young people with industry-relevant digital and hospitality skills, expanding access to rewarding careers in travel and tourism.
The collaboration kicked off in April with a pilot in India, run alongside NGO Kherwadi, that will train 200 disadvantaged youth across Bengaluru, Mumbai, Pune, and Delhi. Local hotels and international hospitality brands will engage by offering practical placements. Beyond funding, Amadeus employees will volunteer as mentors and trainers, sharing expertise in hospitality software.
Originally active in India, Egypt, and Sri Lanka, the Employability Program has already supported over 6,000 graduates. By leveraging Alliance members, regional training providers, hotels, F&B businesses, and non-profits, the initiative dismantles employment barriers—especially for women—and fosters inclusive job opportunities.

The Alliance—representing more than 66,000 hotels across 300 brands and collaborating with over 50 expert partners—is driving the industry toward a Net Positive future, where it contributes more to destinations than it extracts.
