SEATTLE, 2013-08-05— /travelprnews.com/ — Alaska Air Group Inc. (NYSE: ALK) today reported July and year-to-date operational results for its subsidiaries, Alaska Airlines and Horizon Air, and on a combined basis. Detailed information is provided below.
ALASKA AIRLINES – MAINLINE
Alaska reported a 9.2 percent increase in traffic on a 9.2 percent increase in capacity compared to July 2012. This resulted in a 0.1 point increase in load factor to a July record of 88.9 percent. Alaska also reported 84.5 percent of its flights arrived on time in July, compared to the 88.6 percent reported in July 2012.

HORIZON AIR Horizon reported a 1.9 percent increase in July traffic on a 1.2 percent decrease in capacity compared to July 2012. This resulted in a 2.5 point increase in load factor to a July record 84.7 percent. Horizon also reported 89.4 percent of its flights arrived on time in July, compared to the 92.0 percent reported in July 2012. AIR GROUP On a combined basis, Air Group reported an 8.4 percent increase in traffic on an 8.0 percent increase in capacity compared to July 2012. This resulted in 0.3 point increase in load factor to a July record of 88.6 percent. These statistics include flights operated by Alaska and those under capacity purchase agreements, including Horizon, SkyWest and PenAir.
