LONDON, 2016-Jul-22 — /Travel PR News/ — Corporate customers can now use the AirPlus business travel payments solution to access car rental in many more global destinations with the integration of Enterprise Rent-A-Car,National Car Rental and Alamo Rent A Car, the three wholly-owned brands of Enterprise Holdings Inc. The partnership allows AirPlus users to access the Enterprise Holdings’ network from 41 countries, with more to follow. This gives AirPlus customers increased access to the world’s largest car rental company in terms of fleet size and number of employees.
The global expansion of Enterprise Holdings’ AirPlus programme follows an initial roll-out in Germany and the UK, which led to demand from Enterprise customers for the introduction of the AirPlus payment platform to a much larger number of countries. The extended AirPlus integration included an additional 39 countries in Europe, North America and the Middle East, as well as Australia and New Zealand, with additional locations set to be added over the coming months.
The new partnership with AirPlus expands Enterprise Holdings’ payment options and underlines how car rental has become integral to international business travel. AirPlus ensures better reporting and a more streamlined and effective service that reduces the admin of employee expense management. It provides organisations with improved, fully itemised reporting on car rentals that is VAT-compliant and ensures consistent management reporting no matter where in the world their rentals take place, or where the customer lives.
AirPlus is a leading international provider of business travel payment and data management solutions that enable customers to use a single form of payment when travelling. By accepting AirPlus, customers with corporate car rental accounts will no longer need a personal or corporate credit card when renting a vehicle from Enterprise Rent-A-Car, National Car Rental or Alamo Rent A Car.
Instead, the rental transaction takes place entirely within the customer’s corporate AirPlus account, which can also be used to pay for hotels and flights. This provides business travel buyers with integrated reporting so they can easily track and manage their travel spend.
Rob Ingram, director of business rental for Europe, Enterprise Holdings, said: “Following the initial roll-out in Germany and the UK, demand for the service has been growing. We listened closely to the corporate customers who used the service and they wanted to use AirPlus in more countries globally. As we continue to grow and evolve our global operations, we’re constantly seeking to implement new programmes that better serve those customers.
“Demand for AirPlus beyond the traditional main markets for business travel underlines businesses’ reliance on vehicle rental for onward travel at their destination. The fact that car hire can now be easily booked almost anywhere, alongside booking a flight or a hotel room, means companies can make business travel more efficient. By accepting AirPlus, we’re streamlining the rental process for corporate travellers while also simplifying their travel expenses. It’s one more way for us to provide more value and convenience to our customers, wherever in the world they rent from us,” added Ingram.
The addition of AirPlus for worldwide corporate accounts is yet another example of Enterprise’s long-held focus on delivering superior customer service and an exceptional car rental experience for business travellers. In fact, Enterprise was awarded Best Car Rental Company at the 2016 Business Travel Awards in the UK. In addition, corporate travel buyers recently ranked National Car Rental and Enterprise Rent-A-Car as the top two car rental brands in Business Travel News’ inaugural Car Rental Brand and Ground Transportation Survey in the US.
Through its regional subsidiaries and franchises, Enterprise Holdings operates a global network of more than 9,000 fully staffed airport and neighbourhood locations.
With the largest fleet of vehicles in the world and locations in more than 80 countries worldwide, the company ranks near the top of the global travel industry, ahead of many airlines and most cruise lines, hotels, tour operators and online travel agencies.
