MOSCOW, Russia, 2017-Dec-01 — /Travel PR News/ — Aeroflot has once again been named best Russian airline in the annual on-line survey organised by National Geographic Traveler Awards among Russian readers of the magazine. The Awards ceremony took place on 30 November in Moscow.
As in previous years, voting was conducted via the www.nat-geo.ru website from 22 May to 15 October. Readers voted in over 20 categories covering Russian and international tourism.
Aeroflot took 53% of the votes in the Best Russian Airline nomination, leaving competitors far behind. Aeroflot previously won the title in 2014 and 2016.
Aeroflot is consistently voted Russia’s best airline in Russia according to a range of high-profile awards. The airline is also strengthening its position as a premium global carrier.
Aeroflot was the first Russian airline to receive 4-Star Airline status from Skytrax, the global authority on airline quality.
In 2017, Brand Finance, the leading independent brand valuation consultancy, recognised Aeroflot both as the world’s most powerful aviation brand and Russia’s most powerful brand overall. The airline also gained Five Star Global Airline status from US aviation association APEX.
