AccorHotels appoints Jeff Tisdall as SVP, Development Residential and Extended Stay; and Andrew Langdon as SVP, Development Asia

Paris, France, 2018-Oct-01 — /Travel PR News/ — AccorHotels announces two key appointments to it Development Team as the Group gears up for the next exciting phase of its growth. Jeff Tisdall has been appointed as Senior Vice President Development Residential and Extended Stay, while Andrew Langdon will take on the role of Senior Vice President Development Asia, responsible for South East Asia, Japan & Korea. They will be members of the Global Development Co-Dir.

Both men come to these senior positions after joining AccorHotels through acquisitions. Jeff, whose current role is Vice President Residential Development International, came from FHRI in 2016. He has been instrumental in integrating the Fairmont, Raffles and Swissotel (FRS) residential pipeline and leveraging Accorhotels’ brands to further ramp up the pipeline. Andrew joins from Movenpick, where he was Global Chief Development Officer.

“We have very ambitious development targets and the appointment of both Jeff and Andrew will allow us to grow in new segments and ensure that we maintain our leadership position globally,” said Gaurav Bhushan, Global Chief Development Officer AccorHotels. “One of the key aspects of our acquisition strategy has been to ensure we access the best talent in our industry and these men are two of the best in the business.”

AccorHotels’ Residential portfolio pipeline has seen tremendous growth since the acquisition of the FRS brands, from 24 projects in 2016 to over 50 projects globally. Residential is also a key lever to driving luxury development and hence plays an important role in the Group’s overall development strategy.

In addition to leading branded residential growth opportunities, Jeff will oversee development in the Extended Stay segment, which is an exciting new growth opportunity for AccorHotels. The Global Extended Stay market represents over 800,000 worldwide keys and is growing at over 30% p.a.

With the recent acquisition of Mantra, AccorHotels is now one of the global leaders in extended stay with over 40,000 keys in operation and over 7,000 keys in the pipeline.

Prior to joining Movenpick Hotels and Resorts Andrew was based in Jones Lang LaSalle’s (JLL) Hotels & Hospitality Group Thailand office where he was the Executive Vice President. He has over 27 years of diverse property experience in Australia and Asia, including CBRE and Savills and has spent over 21 years living in Asia.

In addition to his new responsibility, Andrew will continue to coordinate the development of the Movenpick brand for the coming months
