
AAX’s Karachi–Kuala Lumpur Route Hits 80% Occupancy, Spurs Fly-Thru Connections to Bali, Singapore, Melbourne

Forward bookings remain strong, with many Pakistani travelers connecting onward via Kuala Lumpur to destinations such as Bali, Phuket, Singapore, Perth, and Melbourne using the Fly-Thru service. A notable 90% of the route’s over 7,000 passengers are non-Malaysians, reinforcing KL’s status as a regional hub. Passenger bookings remain robust for the upcoming quarter, with projections indicating sustained high occupancy rates. Notably, over half of the travelers originating from Pakistan are using Kuala Lumpur as a transit hub via AirAsia’s Fly-Thru service, connecting onward to over 130 destinations across ASEAN and beyond. Popular connecting cities include Bali, Phuket, Singapore, Perth, and Melbourne, reflecting a growing enthusiasm among Pakistani travelers for multi-stop itineraries. Furthermore, 90% of the more than 7,000 passengers carried on this sector to date are non-Malaysians, underscoring Kuala Lumpur’s evolving stature as a premier regional gateway.
