With over 30 years of experience in luxury hospitality, Torsten brings a wealth of international expertise, strategic leadership, and a commitment to excellence in service to his new role.

Torsten joins Anantara Siam Bangkok from his recent position as Minor Hotels’ Area General Manager for Malaysia & Indonesia, as well as General Manager of Anantara Desaru Coast Resort & Villas. Throughout his distinguished career, Torsten has held leadership roles with some of the world’s most prestigious hotel brands across Europe, the Middle East, and Asia. His proficiency in guest experience, operational efficiency, and brand development positions him perfectly to lead Anantara Siam Bangkok into its next phase of success.

A native of Germany, Torsten began his hospitality career in 1989 with an apprenticeship in hotel and food & beverage management at Schlosshotel Bühlerhöhe, one of the world’s leading hotels. After earning a Diploma in Hotel Management, he went on to work at renowned properties such as The MARK Hotel in New York, where he held roles as Maitre d’Hotel and Restaurant Manager. Torsten later joined Starwood’s Leaders Development GM Fast Track program, which paved the way for his first General Manager role at Le Méridien Khao Lak Beach & Spa Resort in Thailand in 2008. His career has since included leadership positions at The Sarasvati, a Luxury Collection Resort in Bali, The Ritz-Carlton in Berlin, The JAFFA, a Luxury Collection Hotel in Tel Aviv, and SO/Bangkok.
