2013-01-14 — /travelprnews.com/ — Featuring two stages, four countries and lots of stars, this year’s Grand Airport Night in Dresden promises to be better than ever! The sixth edition of this party will see top acts setting the dance floors alight: summer hit giants Loona (Bailando) and Hot Banditoz (Veo, Veo), Majorca party star Vollker Racho (Das rote Pferd) and German chart topper Christian Lais (Die Zeit mit Dir). Also on the bill are tribute acts Anni Perka, singing the hits of Germany’s most successful female singer Helene Fischer (Die Hölle morgen früh) and Kay Christiansen, playing Austria’s well-known DJ Ötzi (Ein Stern, der Deinen Namen trägt). Advance tickets are available from the usual ticket outlets and the airport information desk. Discounted early-bird tickets are on sale up to 31 January – and make great Valentine’s Day presents.
Other highlights of the 6th Grand Airport Night in the new terminal are the Viva Brasil Samba Show and Dresden duo the Partypiloten. The South American dancers and drummers will create an explosion of joie-de-vivre, while local DJs Christian Bieselt and Christoph Hermann – dressed in pilots’ uniforms, true to their name – are destined to get the party flying through the night.
Enhancing the glittering show programme will be four country-themed areas. Under the motto “See the world from Dresden”, you’ll find out about some of the holiday destinations you can fly to from Dresden. Experience the beaches of the Canary Islands, the mountains of Switzerland, Russian impressions and the oriental lifestyle of Turkey.
Admission tickets (booking fees apply) can be booked in advance at €13 (early-bird ticket up to 31 January) or €15 (from 1 February). Tickets on the door cost €18. Children up to age 12 pay just €5 (plus advance booking fee).
To and from the airport, parking
There will be plenty of car parking available for Grand Airport Night guests in the multi-storey car park close to the airport, costing just €3 for the night.
To get to the airport by public transport, you can take S-Bahn line S2 from Dresden Central Station via Dresden-Neustadt Station or bus routes 77 and 80. A free shuttle bus will leave the airport for Dresden city centre every 30 minutes from midnight.
