EVA Launches Freighter Flights from Taipei’s Taoyuan to Tokyo’s Haneda

2012-08-08 — /travelprnews.com/ — EVA Air Cargo launched regularly scheduled, twice weekly freighter flights between Taipei’s Taoyuan International and Tokyo’s close-in Haneda International Airports today (August 8, 2012). The carrier is serving the route with McDonnell Douglas MD-11 freighters that operate between Taoyuan and Haneda, initially, on Wednesday and Friday with return trips from Haneda to Taoyuan on Thursday and Saturday. Combined with existing freighter service to and from Taoyuan and Narita International Airport, EVA Air Cargo is providing a complete cargo network between Taipei and Tokyo. EVA Air Cargo service and schedule information is available at http://www.brcargo.com.

EVA Cargo is using Haneda as a gateway while most other airlines concentrate airfreight operations at Narita International Airport, a little further away from Tokyo. Capitalizing on advantages of Haneda’s location, EVA can efficiently deliver goods to Taoyuan and directly connect to other cities around the world through its global network. And intensive domestic services mean that goods can be quickly transferred to or from other cities in Japan.

Electronic products, auto parts, industrial machines and fresh seafood fill most airfreight shipments EVA Cargo carries between Taiwan and Japan. EVA provides competitive, efficient service and quick connections between the two major trade centers. The carrier’s Haneda operations shorten delivery transport distance for tons of cargo and save shippers time. Haneda is EVA’s third freighter gateway in Japan, joining Osaka’s Kansai International Airport and Narita and forming an exceptionally convenient cargo network in Japan.

Including EVA Cargo’s established airfreight services to Narita, the carrier is now operating intensive freighter services between Taoyuan and Japan’s capital. All EVA freighter flights from the two Tokyo airports arrive in Taiwan at midnight where ground crews quickly transfer goods to early morning flights bound for other gateways within EVA’s far-reaching global network. The regularly scheduled service strengthens transportation between Taiwan and manufacturing hubs around Tokyo. It also cultivates Japan’s air cargo business.

EVA Air Cargo serves major manufacturing, trade and business centers worldwide every week with dedicated freighters and combis, in addition to using belly space on the airline’s passenger flights. Airfreight services extend throughout China and carry cargo goods to and from gateways in Asia, Europe, Oceania and North America. It introduced its comprehensive Round-the-World freighter services on routes between Taipei and Anchorage, New York, Brussels and Delhi in December 2011. Shippers and forwarders can check schedules, reserve space and more on the cargo carrier’s website at http://www.brcargo.com .
